WSV Conference 2027

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Please follow the instructions below. Submissions that do not comply may be rejected.

Eligibility

  • Only abstracts involving virology will be accepted for presentation.
  • Original research is generally recommended.

Submission rules

  • All abstracts must be written in English.
  • Submit the abstract only once, via this webpage, by the presenting author.
  • The presenting author’s e-mail address must be provided (a second e-mail may also be given).
  • The text must be proofread for spelling, grammar, and scientific correctness before submission.
  • Corrections after the deadline are not accepted.

Topic/field and presentation type

  • Please choose the most suitable topic or field for your abstract. Accepted abstracts will be allocated into suitable sessions accordingly.
  • Please choose your preferred presentation type: oral, poster, or either.
  • Organizers will notify the presenter if and when the abstract is accepted for a talk or a poster.

Author approvals, registration, and publication

  • The presenting author should register for the Conference after abstract submission.
  • All co-authors must have accepted the content of the abstract and agreed that it may be distributed, published, displayed online, and included in the WSV abstract book.
  • Abstracts may be published one week before the Conference so attendees have time to view them.

Presentation logistics

  • All oral sessions are moderated live sessions with live Q&A.
  • Posters must be placed on poster boards provided by the local organizer.
  • For poster presentation, prepare your poster in A1 size (59.4 cm width × 84.1 cm height), vertical orientation.

Abstract format (mandatory)

  • In the abstract, write: title, author names, affiliations, then the bulk text — not exceeding one page.
  • The title must be CAPITALIZED, concise, and informative.
  • Authors must be written in the order: first name (with or without additional first name initial(s)), then family name; list all co-authors in one row.
  • Affiliations should be as short as possible: list the university or main organization and the country.
  • Do NOT include department names or P.O. BOX in affiliations.
  • The presenting author’s name must be underlined.
  • Abstract bulk text limit: 300 words.
  • Do not include figures, tables, or references in the abstract.
